Cect P168 mobile Phone - How Clever Chinese Manufacturers Improved Upon Apple's iPhone

There's no query that Apple's iPhone started a technological revolution in which consumers fell in love with the finger touch interface and the potential to concentrate movable phones with Mp3/Mp4 players and digital cameras. What consumers didn't love though was: the high price tag; the fact that you were forced to use At&T's very high-priced monthly service; and the fact that you had to take the phone back to the constructor for assistance every time the battery died.

Chinese cell phone constructor Cect saw a huge opening and pounced. Its P168 model (aka the iClone) looked and functioned so much like the traditional iPhone that favorite Science magazine called it "the real deal." And to sweeten the pot even more, the constructor took a stab at solving all of the complaints about the traditional and even added extra features.

For example, the 168 is always unlocked so that you are free to use whichever network you wish. The battery is movable so that you are not chained the manufacturer. The iClone is dual sim which means that you can use two sim cards, giving you the potential to have two phone numbers / plans / networks on one phone. (Business citizen and students love this feature.) Also, the constructor added three surround sound speakers and an Fm radio.

In increasing to all of the extras, the core features are still there, including: the finger touch screen / interface; the potential to surf the web, email and text; full Mp3 / Mp4 capabilities; a digital camera; and Bluetooth.

Even in the beginning, these features were sufficient to intrigue consumers. Once word spread about the phone's doing and the cheaper turned, the iClone's popularity took off and the phone is now pretty much mainstream, with an whole industry of accessories ready for it.

This phone was always priced much lower than the original, but since it's come to be so mainstream, the price has come down even further. You can sometimes get one for under 0 if you know where to look. In this economy, the preliminary price, as well as the network / carrier savings, can in effect add up. This phone is in effect favorite with students or with executives who want two phone numbers and the newest technology without paying a ridiculous and continuing price for it. I still in effect love mine.
